Dr. Scott Olson, author of Sugarettes and the enemy of all things that is sugar, has announced the 1st of January 2009 the beginning of International Sugar Free Month.
The good doctor challenges any-and-everyone to spend the whole month of January without any sugar in their diet.
For more as to why he hates on sugar so much, check Sugarettes - 4 Reasons Why Sugar Is No Good For You , a recent article by yours truly that explains it in some detail.
Or check out his own site, olsonnd.com if that particular piece hasn't got your interest going.
While yours truly did manage to live without any sugar and practically no carbs for almost two month (see Migraine Experiment), it remains to be seen if any of my gentle readers can stood up to that challenge.

Very cool experiment. I guess I'll be mostly doing it, except more drastically, with the macro(ish) part of my own January experiment. I do think I've noticed a strong correlation between sugar and migraines before.
I've gotta look into this whole Macrobiotics thing. Looks fascinating. Will be following your experiment closely. Do post often :)
