Depakote and Topamax are FDA aproved for Migraine Preventive Treatment; Read Side-Effects Before Using

Just to make sure that there's no misunderstandings when reading my earlier articles - Depakote and Topamax at the present time are indeed approved as migraine preventive.

Earlier on they were referred to as off-label but now they are fully fledged migraine medications.

Both Topamax and Depakote are very successful migraine preventives and have been a Godsend to many a migraine sufferer.

They are, however, still just as toxic as when they were off-label and have to be taken very carefully (pun intended). Consider all the side-effects; ask your doctor if your other health conditions won't be complicated by these drugs; do some research - Google is your friend.

Yours truly has written extensively about Depakote and Topamax so check the previous articles for more information.

For the most complete list of migraine preventives on the Internet, check Teri Robert's Migraine Preventive Medications - Too Many Options To Give Up! article. Three pages of constantly updated information should get you started on any alternatives to Topamax and Depakote you and your doctor might want to consider.

I just wanted to say I enjoy your blog. You have so much information. I suffer from severe headaches brought on by chemicals. Which makes it hard for me to go in stores. I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity so for me it is a way of life. I have adjusted my diet, exercise, rest, relaxation and increased my Magnesium to 200mg, 3 times a day and I am doing okay. Most times I have minimal headaches but then there are some days that I just don't want to move. I cannot take many medications because of their composition so I am one that does naturally. Just wanted to thank-you for a great site.
